Why did you choose the field you are in?
I chose this field because I like to help people to feel better, functional, independent and healthy.
I always considered myself a person of service and being a physical therapist has given me the opportunity to serve in a very rewarding way. I enjoy working with patients one-on-one and seeing them progress through treatment.
Why did you choose PRWC?
I liked PRWC because it has different services for patients and everything is under the same roof.
I saw PRWC as the opportunity to grow as a professional by interacting with multiple providers. I am able to take the best of each of them and incorporate their best practices into my daily patient routine.
What is unique about PRWC?
Friendly staff, privacy for treatments (private booths) which assures a quality service.
Share a success story or something that excites you about coming to work every day.
We had a patient who, as a nurse, had injured her back moving patients. She came to us walking with a cane, unable to drive and very dependent on her husband for daily activities. After three months of treatment she was able to drive, go up and down the stairs, and no longer needed a cane to walk. Her treatments were life-changing.
Why are you passionate about what you do?
It’s very satisfying to see a patient who starts out with limitations, and who, after treatment, can do things that they couldn’t do before.
